DURHAM, NH — UNH Professional Development & Training is hosting the inaugural New Hampshire Craft Brew Conference, a collaboration between the University of New Hampshire and the Granite State Brewers Association, on Friday, Nov. 10 in Durham. The NH Craft Brew Conference (NHCBC) features 16 different track sessions focusing on the business and technical aspects of brewing, a vendor showcase and an industry career fair. Industry expert Mitch Steele is the keynote speaker.
Steele is brewmaster, COO and co-founder of New Realm Brewing Co. in Atlanta, GA. He has over 30 years of brewing experience. Steele is the author of the book “IPA: Brewing Techniques, Recipes and the Evolution of India Pale Ale”. The Brewers Association awarded Steele the prestigious Russell Scherer Award for innovation in craft brewing in 2014.
The NHCBC is ideal for brewing professionals, hobbyists and brewing entrepreneurs, with special conference topics including sourcing grains/hops, distribution, quality control, licensing/permits, trademarks, integrated marketing, taproom management and many other key aspects of craft brewery startup, sustainability and management.
Tickets for the conference are $150, with option to attend the Brewers Banquet for an additional $65. Tickets include breakfast, lunch, several tastings (21+), refreshments throughout the day and a “Hoppy Hour” to close the event.
